Indian Institute of Science is conducting the Graduate
Aptitude Test in Engineering in 2012. The date fixed for online examination is
29th January 2012. Date fixed for offline examination is 12th
February 2012 (Sunday). GATE 2012 is
jointly conducted by seven Indian Institute of Technology and Institute of
Science. GATE 2012 is conducted on behalf
of GATE, Department of Higher Education, Government of India and M H R D (
National Coordination Board).
There are eight zones conducting GATE. These zones include

IIT Kanpur
IIT Kharagpur
IIT Madras
IIT Roorkee
Online Registration of GATE 2012
The notification of GATE 2012 is given online. The dates for
GATE 2012 is also given online. You can apply for GATE 2012 on 17th
october 2011. The results will be published on March 15th 2012.
Benefits of GATE 2012
Qualification in GATE is nowadays a minimum requirement to
apply in many Government Organizations. Also admissions to P G programs along
with MHRD and many other Government assistantships also sets the minimum
qualifications for applying as qualification in GATE exams. GATE exam
qualification is only valid for 1 year.
GATE exams will be soon transferred to only online exams. It is under
observations.
