The Kutch Province of Gujarat is organizing a month long
tour programs which starts on 9th December 2011. The Rann Utsav will
end on 15th January 2011. Gujarat Tourism organization is spending a
lot of money in this International Tourism Program.

Highlights of the Kutch Regions – splendid beaches,
beautiful palaces, monuments and fascinating wild life. Winter nights features
inspiring landscapes each year. Awesome hospitality flavored with Gujarat style
which extends for one month is very well known as Rann Utsav. The night view of
the landscapes is a memorable one.
The building designs, super culture, splendid music and
dance all together in the areas of the Gujarat creates an incredible experience
for you. The hand craft in the regions is a one feature to be noted. Gujarat is
famous for such hand craft designs.
About Rann Utsav
The Utsav introduces the visitor to the indigenous cultural
flavor of the people in Kutch regions. Folk dance and music performances
immerses the visitor into a mind filling experience. Accommodation is provided
in tents. Both AC and Non AC tents are provided. The Gujarat deserts provide
other extra activities for the tourists which are-
- Craft bazaar – There are 30 craft bazaars in the Rann Utsav. It features live demonstration of the products.Products are known as Kutchi handcrafts.
- Theme pavilion and virtual tour of Kutch
- Food Stall – there are 15 food stalls in the Rann Utsav which features various food items.
- Cultural programs- it is active only in Saturdays and Sundays.

Tour Packages
There are different tour packages available. 3 night and 4
day package cost for one person for AC tent is Rs 9500 and Non AC tent cost Rs
8000. 2 nights and 3 days tour packages costs Rs 7000 for AC tent and Rs 6000
for Non AC tent. There are 400 tents ( 200 AC and 200 Non AC). 100 tents are
for private sector. New year packages and beach cultural programs are also to
be noted. Rann Utsav also features Para Gliding festival, Kite Flying in White rann
etc.
